Exposed to European waterfronts from an early age, the 18 year old Aishwarya realized how they boosted tourism in countries. Back home at the commercial capital, she saw a huge opportunity on its seaside which could add jewels to the crown of her own city.
This vision gave birth to an extensive 3-year process of building India’s first floating restaurant. Setting up AB Celestial from sourcing interiors for the 4 themed layers of the restaurant to recruiting all staff for operations and curating the menus. Aishwarya has set the backbone for each process by herself. The restaurant offers excellent delicacies from Indian, Continental and Asian cuisines with a fine, opulent ambiance. More than being a disruptor in the industry, Celestial opened up a huge scope for other people to do business in the waters.
Celestial sails in its 2nd season, giving an enthralling, nautical experience of the coast to Mumbai and its tourists. There’s never a dull day at the luxury dining yacht. It has been visited the likes of Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, Mandira Bedi, Anil & Aditya Roy Kapoor or Bollywood’s favourite Miss Malini Agarwal. The boat has also been the background location for Nokia's latest advertisement featuring Alia Bhatt.
Though a young Aishwarya never imagined herself front and center heading a project like AB Celestial any more than the people close to her did, as she always had a keen eye and love for luxury fashion, music and believed that, that is where her career path too would take her. She never pictured herself to be running from tuitions to meetings, unlike most people her age at the time. It caused her to lose out on her social life and even friends but that was the cost to achieve the dream that she, with the unwavering support of her parents have so carefully crafted into reality today. Therefore, Aishwarya strongly lives by the motto ‘Anchor your dreams into reality’ because if you can dream of something, you can do it as time has its’ way of coming to your favour and that is the tag line of her labour of love, AB Celestial.
